OSHA 10 Hour Training for Construction In June 2010, each of our team members completed the OSHA 10 hour outreach training program. OSHA recommends the outreach training program course as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers. Recognized throughout the construction industry as a solid baseline of safety training, this 10-hour Outreach Training program meets the criteria outlined by OSHA's outreach training initiative. The Construction program is designed for those who work for construction, alteration, and/or repair. These individuals fall under the regulations found in 29 CFR 1926. This program is ideal for all construction workers, including project managers and superintendents. We felt it was important to complete this training given the amount of time we spend on-site during the construction phase of our projects. This program covered many essential safety topics including electrical safety; fall protection; hand & power tool safety; ladder safety; scaffolding; health hazards in construction; welding, cutting & brazing; basic rigging; hazard communication; material handling & storage; confined spaces; and personal protective equipment. |
