| Barclay Farmstead Client The Township of Cherry Hill Location Cherry Hill, New Jersey Structure The Farmstead is a Cherry Hill Township-owned and operated property that is listed on the New Jersey and National Registers of Historic Places. The masonry building is made up of three floors and an attic level. The Farmstead was built in 1816 by a Quaker farmer, Joseph Thorn. The farmhouse is open for tours, offering visitors the opportunity to observe aspects of Early American Quaker farm life. The 32-acre property is available for exploration, and includes such features as interpretive nature trails and “Plant-A-Patch” garden plots. Challenge The Township of Cherry Hill required an Architect to provide professional services for drawings and specifications, bidding assistance, construction document administration, site visits, and general project administration for the replacement of the roof and all related and associated repairs on the main farmhouse at the historic Barclay Farmstead.
