WOMEN OF EXCELLENCE CLIENT Women of Excellence LOCATION Philadelphia, Pennsylvania STRUCTURE The three-story masonry building located on 9th Street in North Philadelphia was originally the Convent of the Sisters of St. Francis; associated with the neighboring St. Bonaventura Roman Catholic Church. The building retained some of its original exterior and interior original elements, including newel posts, handrails, plaster ornamentation and tin ceilings. CHALLENGE Portions of the building had been improperly renovated in the past. Other portions of the building had been completely neglected. The varying conditions required numerous repair schedules in order within the constraints of the minimal overall budget for the project. SCOPE OF SERVICE
